Spotlight: Riverstreet explores Thanksgiving Island
Last weekend, Riverstreet teamed up with Comedy Central for the 6th year in a row to create an interstitial campaign for the network’s annual "Thanksgiveaway" on-air promotion, sponsored by Nintendo Wii and Scion.
Riverstreet scripted, directed and edited a series of 18 reality TV-inspired spots — called "Thanksgiving Island" — in which the absurdities and cliches of reality shows were combined with holiday family dysfunction. Four families competed in holiday-inspired contests of togetherness, prayer, back-stabbing and humiliation.
All in all, it probably wasn't too different from our own Thanksgiving weekends!
